Below steps demonstrate how to move a Vicmarc lathe using the new lifter and wheel kit. These kits come with the lifter as well as four platform wheels. Two of the wheels are fixed and two are pivoting which makes moving the lathe easy.
*Please note these wheels are best suited to concrete floors and are not suited for moving lathes across dirt, gravel or grass etc.

Step 1 - place lifter under one side of the lathe

Step 2 - push the lifter down so that it is parallel to the floor.

|
Step 3 - Slide the wheel base onto the feet of the lathe as shown. Do this on both sides of the lifter.

|
Step 4 - Pull the lifter back up and remove from underneath the lathe
|
|
Step 5 - Repeat steps 1 to 4 on opposite side of lathe
|
|
Step 7 - Once the lifter has been removed you can push the lathe into its new position.
